Game of Thrones (spoiler-free zone)
A few have suggested it, might as well test the waters. The idea is to give people who haven't read the books a safe place to talk about the show.

A few quick ground rules:
  • No Spoilers!!!!! for upcoming episodes.
  • Larger Song of Ice and Fire discussion should be limited to the other thread although I think a tiny bit of book delving to fill in holes should be okay (example of this would be talking about Catelyn and her treatment of the wolves in the novel, which was alluded to on TV but never really made clear...)
  • Everything that happened that week is fair game once an episode airs. So if you don't watch on Sunday night, I'd stay outta here until you do...

Depends. For awile, I thought Sansa was going over since they are so keen on killing Starks. Once that didn't happen, I knew.

I'm really enjoying the Arya hound dynamic. I didn't think I would.

Awesome episode tonight! Arya/Hound, Bron/Tyrion and Viper/Tyrion scenes were all excellent! I have a feeling Baelish finds his way very near the top in the future.

I was somewhat mixed on last nights episode. I thought the Mountain scene was a little cheesy where he's all shirtless just killin' fools. I also thought the Hound/Arya scene was a little cutesy for me. It rebounded well though with the Oberyn/Tyrion exchange and of course the ending.

Really? I thought the hound scene was excellent. Particularly hound talking about getting his face burned off. That's the first time he has talked about it other than "no fire." I thought that scene was incredibly well acted.

The mountain scene was pretty cool. I think it fits right in with what Cersi would do, "here giant ass mother****er. Go chew on some prisoners." I believe I read somewhere that dude is a competitor in the worlds strongest man competition and hasn't acted a day in his life. That sword is awesome though.

I'm glad they have a new actor for the mountain. The guy in the first season seemed ok, but the next one was a skinny beanpole and really did not fit my image for him. I'm only partway through season 3, but having read the books I'm fine with going on Youtube to check out certain scenes, and the new mountain at least has the right LOOK.
