Movies and TV SceneItAll Tournament: Round 1, Heat 150

The rules:

In Round 1, I'm going to put up three randomly selected scenes from the nomination thread.

You'll vote for your ONE favorite scene among the three. The key here is FAVORITE. We're not talking about the 'best' or 'most powerful' or 'most meaningful'. We're talking about the scene that you most enjoy watching, however you define that.

The winners will move on. I'll also take the 10 highest-scoring second-place scenes and they'll advance as wild cards.

Some of our nominations did not include clips. This will be noted. If you find a clip, please post it and let me know so I can update it if it moves on.

Really solid round, but I'm going with Heat, great scene in a great movie.

NCFOM is one of my favorite movies of all time, but I'd opt for the coin toss scene there. I might just have to go with BTTF.

My vote in a close heat:

#1 - Back to the Future. I love the line at the very end that almost gets cut off, and my favorite scenes tend to have good music associated with them.

#2 - No Country For Old Men. I hate to not vote for this, because it's a really good scene. On another day it might be my #1. The scuff marks on the floor were a genius bit of writing or directing or whatever job thinks of this.

#3 - Heat. Just a bunch of shooting. You can see that every weekend down at the Guitar Center.

Three good ones, which makes me mad when I think of the heats with three shitty ones.

I love No Country, but I do have a hard time calling that clip "a scene."

yeah, I was betting that it would win this heat even though I prefer back to the future very very slightly.

I would not have predicted the rankings on this one. I figured it would be a shootout between Back to the Future and No Country For Old Men. I was kind of wrong.

Anyway, Back To The Future advances to the previous round.
