And while I think it's pretty apparent that O-Line is probably where they're going with their first, I can't imagine they aren't going to take a 'bad' trade down which would allow them to get yet another potential interior lineman in the 2nd.

They have to be maxed on the cap and they still have 3 clear holes (ILB, RT and either C/G...maybe both). They need the ammo in the trade down to fill those holes in the draft.

They can't just take Joeckel and call it a day; they're going to need another immediate contributor and I think they'd be fine moving down, taking Lane Johnson and then adding that 2nd round pick as an absolute worst case scenario.
Yep. They will trade down imo and take the tackle that is left.

The only thing i remember about him is that he was the guy putting clown shoes on Chad Johnson in "Hard Knocks". He was talking trash about Chad and owning him on the practice field.

THIS! If I had ANY confidence in Alex Smith, I'd think we would be a contender in 2013. But...

This is what is going to happen. Though I think Fisher is way up there on the list, too.

Second round pick would be near the top and we could be looking at Warford, Ertz, Woods, Hunter, or a QB to develop.

@PCBearcat: That first summer, Pioli signed Copper, Engram, Wade and Toomer in an attempt to fix WR spot. #Chiefs

Flowers was in the slot a lot I believe prior to Arenas.

Arenas did a nice job on Welker in the past too.

Having Arenas as a dime back is a great, great thing.

Flowers can deal with Decker, who's a technician as a route-runner but isn't physically overpowering. Smith would be a nice counter to Thomas in that he's one of the few guys in the league with the size to match up with him who also has the athleticism to hang with him. Robinson is a great matchup for Welker in that he's physical enough to knock him off routes and spend the day beating him up if necessary (Abdullah then plays FS).

I hadn't looked at it in terms of pure matchups, but the Chiefs secondary actually would match up pretty well vs. the Broncos WRs.
I don't see that. Robinson can't cover Welker. Smith is too soft to stop Thomas. When it comes to facing Denver, it's going to have to be the pass rush that wins the day for the Chiefs.

Actually they aren't maxed yet. They really do want a long term deal with Albert and will likely cut someone like Studebaker.

All we have to do to Manning is bounce him on his head a time or two. And if we don't do it, the Raiders will this year for sure.
