Chiefs Matt Barkley

Is it too early? As luck would have it, I don't see us getting the #1 overall pick, but Barkley is a close second.

Your thoughts?

Atleast we have scratched WR off that list. We should be good to go in 5 years at this rate. Right about the time when we need new WRs and RBs.

You build around a superbowl caliber QB. Statistics have the vast majority of them being drafted in the top half of the 1st round. There are some anomalies, but you can't bank on them.

If we have a shot at getting one of the two potentially elite QBs this year, then we should do it. It does no good to build a great team around a mediocre QB or a series of them as we witnessed in the Schottenhiemer years.

no doubt, I am just saying we can't stop at nabbing a great potential QB

Yes because drafting all those other positions have worked out so well for us.

This league is all about the QB. You either have one and are legit. Or you don't.
