Air Traffic Control has to do with directing airplane traffic. So yes, I wonder what it has to do with advertising.

I am on the creative side of the advertising industry yes. I don't get why it's odd for me to not get what ATC has to do with either advertising or marketing. I sure it operates in a market though. BTW, I do not do the marketing but I interface with some of them. I've never once dealt with anyone in ATC or seen any relationship to that. The closest comes to doing an AR for an airport.

Those planes don't land just because they want to. Timbone has to talk them into landing, and convince them to use his landing strip instead of others in the area.

Why do the Chuefs always have ugly designs. God we suck at everything. The Raiders are even cool.

Are you familiar with Frontier Airlines? They're a relatively small airline based in Denver, Colorado. They use different animals as mascots for each of their airplanes, they even paint the picture of the mascot on the tail of it's designated plane.

I sat on a distinguished panel of Air Traffic Controllers that assisted Frontier Airlines in selecting the current fleet of mascots. We considered elements such as which animal mascots would drum up the most business for the airline. I've even heard of instances where certain mascots were so popular that they were given priority in landing/departing over all other aircraft aside from emergency aircraft and flight checks.

I'm proud to say that of the 55 or so aircraft that Frontier has, my personal mascot choices appear on four different aircraft. They include, O'Malley the Mallard Duck, Lance the Ocelot, Montana the Elk, and Sherman the Seal. Pics below.

Do you ever think before you post?

The teams didn't design those helmets.

Well cool. It's just not what I typically think of an ATC doing is all. Also, that's really more the design end. (what I do)

I am familiar with Frontier and I as I sit on the runway sometimes, I consider how I'd re-do their plane designs entirely. I like the ones you show here. I've only seen one of them. You could still use those mascots but it seriously needs to be updated. JMO though.

Do you like the new American Airline designs?

You've got something better than Lance the Oceleot? Or O' Malley the Mallard Duck? Let's hear it. I'm particularly proud of those two.

I saw those new concept helmets the other day. Love them. Chiefs aren't that bad. Some are better than the others but I think the logo has something to do with how it fits.
