What quarter do you think the Chiefs will give up again against the Broncs?

Last year in December, it was the third quarter... Anyone think that the Chiefs will be able to make it to the fourth quarter before throwing in the towel?

If Bell plays, I say they have Portis flashbacks from last year and quit earlier... If it's Droughs, they might make it all the way into the fourth quarter before they call it quits.

If the Chiefs had quit in that game, they would not have driven the field for a touchdown with 2 seconds left. End of story.

How badly is Manning going to fuck you guys up?

Even if you beat KC and Tennessee, you're going nowhere.

Well that is pretty pathetic.

But it was an interesting place to watch a football game. We were walking around town, and the conversation with a local would go like this:

Them: You from KC?
Me: Yep.
Them: Ever been to the dome?
Me: No.
Them: Oh. It sucks.

And then at some point near the end of the game, when we were being thoroughly pounded, Priest scored a touchdown, and the people in my section thought they had just choked away the Super Bowl or something. They started swearing and booing like crazy, throwing beer off the upper deck, kicking chairs, etc.

A bunch of Vikings fans sent us pitchers at the bars later that night though. Pretty cool town, good football fans.

I'm not even sure why you posted this thread, TJ. After that courageous comeback against the Dolphins in your house, there is obviously no hope for a Chiefs victory this coming Sunday.

The Dolphins.

Manning can be beat ( way to live vicariously through others btw ).

Indy has already clinched their division.

Manning will have beaten the TD record handily by week 16.

Indy and SD still play eachother which will most likely settle their seeding issues.

Indy cant catch NE or PITT.

This all means that Peyton isn't even a lock to play in the last game of the year.

Who is their backup?

I wouldn't call the Playoffs nowhere. It's a destination in itself. I'd rather go to the playoffs and lose, than not go at all. There's plenty to be said about getting playoff experience for your team, even in a loss. Losing to Jacksonville made us that much more hungry the year after. Look at Indy... They've lost every year they've gone... But at least they've gone.

I understand that telling yourselves that it doesn't matter if a team goes in and loses. It's about the only thing a team that had Superbowl expectations, only to be done with the season in October can do.

But I'll be happy if we make it to the playoffs. Sure, if/when we lose there, it will be a disappointment. But I'd rather go and lose than not go at all...

The appropriate question would not be 'how bad will Indy destroy the Donkos', it would be, 'will Indy have anything to play for in week 17'.

Or more importantly... which of the teams with likely home playoff games can the Donkeys beat on the road?

New England?

Pittsburgh?

Indianapolis?

maybe Thandy Eggo?

Wake up. The Donks aren't going to the playoffs.

And mobee, Manning WILL play in that game. Indy might be fighting for the 2nd or 3rd seed/

I have no problem with a low scoring battle against the Dolphins. That's how 80% of their games have been this year. Opponents are only averaging 22 points per game against their defense... and that's with two skewed games where they plain didn't show up and let two teams hang 40 on them. But if you look at their results, they've been in just about every game, and lost by just a score.

I'm not ashamed of that win in the least.

Riiiight. The Broncos will make the wild card. We'll see you at the bar to watch the Chargers and the Jets on wildcard weekend.

That might fly on September or Oct, but not in December. You'd have a hard time getting past the Bills, Bengals and Jets, let alone the Steelers ,NE or Indy.

Bottom line is this season is a letdown for both of us.
