So as someone else pointed out, you don't jus throw a bag at someone just for the sake of filling a slot.

You could bring Hardman back and bring in a guy like Donovan Peoples-Jones for the MVS role and still have quite a bit of cash left over and accomplish the same thing.
Accomplish what exactly?

Are either of those guys 1st-round talents?

I swear you back yourself further and further into the "run the 2023 offense back again" corner with every post.

The salary cap was $208 million when we signed MVS. It’s now $255 million, so obviously $13 million for MVS is now inflated to $15 million.

The Chiefs are paying less than $10 million overall for their entire WR room currently, which is undoubtedly one of if not the the least in the league. I don’t see why another MVS contract is bad.

The Chiefs went cheap last year and look at what it got us? Paying a mid level contract to a WR that actually forces teams to account for him is worth it.

Also keep in mind that Kelce is declining. Last year was the first year it looked like he needed to be load managed for a game. That’s a major part of this.

They whiffed on Skyy Moore and Toney, so now they have to go pay a WR.

Moral of the story, don't whiff on draft picks.

Rice + Brown + Round 1-2 WR in this draft is a major upgrade over what we had for most the season last year.

I’d really like to see us get a better second running back in the draft too.

The offense will be terrific again.

JJ isn’t getting 1800 here but he would open up things for Rice , Kelce and others. But when other are Skyy Moore types it does help .

Toney wasn't technically a draft pick of the Chiefs, but your point is correct.

Who gives a **** where he was drafted?

Based on his career you could argue he had no business being drafted in R1.

You guys are HOPING he can be something that he either hasn't shown to date, or has only shown with a MASSIVE amount of targets.

He's 3rd in the pecking order at best here. He's not getting 120-150 targets. And that's what he needs to show ANY semblance of success.

I honestly think if the guy didn't run 4.3 FIVE years ago literally no one would care about this guy.

The MVS role sucks. It only exists because MVS sucks. They didn’t sign him with intention of creating a role so limited that it could be replaced by any and all comers who can run. They were expecting a jump from him. We don’t need to refill that role. We just need a better player that does more to help the offense.

If you hit on WR you pay them or start over , pretty much like every position .
