"How did they all get their tickets?"

I had some Dallas sports talk radio on earlier this evening (Don't ask me why; I guess I'm a masochist), and they spent at least an hour marveling at the fact that an estimated 20,000+ Chiefs fans were at Texas Stadium yesterday.

They just couldn't wrap their minds around the concept of thousands of opposing fans getting tickets to an, apparently, sold out game. They kicked around answers such as Stub Hub, ticket outlets, etc.

So, those who went to the game, know people who did, or can pull an answer out of your ass:

How did you get your tickets, and how do you suppose that the Red and Gold hordes did it?

Bob Dole's ticket was comp'ed from a real estate client in Dallas and required sleeping with the enemy.

1310's Cowboy pregame call-in show yesterday was a riot. 80% of the callers were Chiefs fans.

They were very complimentary about that, saying that Chiefs fans really travel well, although I got the impression that they figured everyone came from KC.

I had that date marked for a year. Having to live in enemy territory, I was highly looking forward to this day-minus the ending.
Got my tickets from some friends of the family, and ending up sitting 30yrd line with all Chiefs fans!

The worst part was having to work a pathetic Cowboys tailgate and try to pretend like they have any clue how to pull one off.

Do I sound bitter? Well, it was nice to be around at least 20% (I'd say more than that) of the Chiefs family!

I was siting in a section that was full of KC fans and I'm pretty sure the bought the tickets directly rather than Ebay or broker.

Some of ours we bought on e-bay, others were bought from a season ticket holder and we bought a couple from a scalper. Almost anyway you can buy a ticket, we did it.

From the Dallas glory years in the 90s, there was probably a massive drive by corporations to aquire seats. For instance, my dad's company has 24 seats throughout the stadium. My guess is there are a lot of corporate owned seats in that stadium.

When companies have tickets, they don't care if it's a Dallas fan or someone else, as long as they can either get them to a customer, or make a buck on them.

Besides, how many Chiefs were able to aquire tickets early in the year when most Cowboys fans were coming off a lousy '04 season? A lot of those tickets could have been bought through ticketmaster in August.

A buddy of mine went and said it rocked when they sang the National Anthem and as though at Arrowhead, when the time came..."and the home of the CCCCHHHHIIIIIIEEEEEEFFFFFFFFSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!" rang out in Texas Stadium. He said it gave him goosebumps and him just telling me about it gave me goose bumps.

That's so cool! I went to game in SD many moons ago, and the same thing happened there. The "CHIEFS!" was quite loud.

I remember during the Dallas game, after a good call for the chiefs you could hear cheering on TV.
