What in the world do Pioli and Haley look for in a nose tackle?
I was pondering that question because I, like a lot of people, thought the Chiefs would take Cam Thomas in the second or third round. The guy kept falling and the Chiefs still didn't take him.

Most nose tackles seem at least a little fat and lazy. It's in their nature. With that said, Pioli and Haley obviously aren't looking for fat or lazy players. I'd like to know what they look for in a nose tackle. I think we're at a point in the NFL where character could be more important than talent.

I think the Big Ben suspension and a couple things in this draft showed how important character is becoming. Tebow went higher than expected, Dez Bryant slipped and Jimmy Clausen slipped a lot further than expected.

Goddell is doing the right thing with the league. If he doesn't want the problems baseball and basketball have, he needs to preemptively strike the problem.

If the image of the league is good, the questions dont get raised that took basketball and baseball down.
