Kick off returns and Erric Berry, I can dream
To think about this gives me goose bumps on how amazing it would be. Not every game, but randomly once a month let him get back there and do his thing. With McCluster getting more reps at backfield and be apart of the offense more, we should be looking at who is going to return kicks. I just am hoping that we get to see Erric Berry do that with out putting him back there too much to take away from his safty duties.
Any time EB touches the ball, if it's an INT he is looking to score a TD. Erric Berry can flat out play ball and putting it in his hands is "WIN" God I can't wait for the Draft and see who we get. I am still stoked for the Erric Berry & Dexter McCluster picks. God I love Chiefs Football God I don't care if this is a repost. This thread should be about ST & return specialist, if not IDC. Who would you want to see back there? |

Berry is our young killer safety, I want him on the sidelines resting otherwise.

I understand that and agree mostly. However say Monday Night Football and we have Eric Berry to return a kick. I think that has potential to be epic win situation. I know what EB is capable of once he gets his hands on the football. Once in a great while we should give him that opportunity on returns. That's all i'm saying and am dreaming of the possibility of epicness.

**** THAT! Special teams is where injuries happen most. I already hate that Eric is part of the kickoff team, to put him to return is just risking too much.

Wow, ONE FREAKING return from Eric Berry what he does when he gets the ball in his hands is unhuman. Never freaking mind.

Ok, forget any thing about playing saftey or getting hurt as part of this question.
Who out of these guys would make the best kick returner on any given kick off return? Or I will ask it this way. Last game of season, we are down 5 points with 45 sec on the clock and the other team is kicking off to us. Play off birth is at stake. Who would you want returning the kick? Dexter McCluster? Eric Berry? Maurice Leggett? Verran Tucker? Reshard Lawrence? Arenas Javier? Jeremy Horne? or Donald Washington? Other player?

Ravens use Ed Reed in certain Punt Return scenarios... that would be the only time I would ever think about it.
But our defense already relies on him too much, we can't lose him |

I think arenas and maybe another cb or a wr deep on the depth chart. Using starters to return is dangerous because if they get hurt the coach looks bad.

we spent two ****ing seconds on two ****ing midget kick returners and you want us to give free shots to the other team at our star safety......
while we're at it, let's draft a 27 year old guard with the 21st pick...
