What, the team had about as much height as Tom Cruise?

they just haven't found many guys with that typical Self toughness...either they've lost recruiting battles, or they're simply mis-identifying players, they need to get it figured out

i have high hopes for mason, graham, and svi...but beyond that, lots of questions on the roster

seldon, greene, and traylor just can't be counted on to produce or play smart smart basketball

and our one-and-dones aren't living up to the hype...

shit's correctable, but may have to flush some guys out of the system

I think you hit on it, Can. SMART BASKETBALL. I swear to all that is sacred that this is the dumbest (basketball sense wise) team that KU has had under Self.

Plus, we have way too many guys who were highly recruited who lack fundamental basketball skills. Take Selden or Greene......neither of them can handle the ball at all. Can't dribble well, nor do they pass well. Hard to believe that after all the time they've put in on the court, that they can't dribble. Then of course, we have a bunch of guys who just aren't good shooters. Selden, Traylor, and Lucas don't shoot the ball, they throw it!

Oh well, it's been another fun year, and I expect Coach to make adjustments as needed. As Reerun suggested, it's been good conversing with you Jayhawk fans this year!

dumbest Self team by far

Selden is such a disappointment, he was supposed to be a defensive stud, and great slasher...but really i think he just matured early, physically, and dominated high school kids

he looks heavy and slow in college, and has no lateral quickness...dude needs to be coming off the bench next year...he has a fraction of the BB iq that Svi has

Hey guys keep your head up, you all will bounce back of course you are Kansas. IMO just from me watching afar outside of this game, Self needs to scrap one and dones. Needs to get good solid players that stay 3 to 4 years that he had when you guys won it all a few years back.
As for the game, it was just my boys times. I felt we were the tougher team and punched you in the mouth a little bit which set the tone for the game.

Wichita St has a really good team and definitely deserved that win. Kudos to them! Seems to me that they play a "cleaner" game of basketball than do the Jayhawks. By clean, I mean their passes seem more crisp, ball-handling is better, movement seems more constant, etc. This year's Jayhawks were kind of like the junkyard dog. Gritty, but definitely not pretty.

Wichita played with the intensity Self's teams used to play with

and Marshall is a damn good coach, who is going to get paid $$$$
