What's for dinner? Here's mine...

A black bean and chorizo soup with focaccia to dip. Lots of great ingredients in the soup and a fresh-baked focaccia to slice and dip. The chorizo is soy and really spicy.

What you got?

Mine had some smoked turkey breast on it; that was the most awesome part. But alas, it's all about being healthy...

No pics, but grilled up some pretty outstanding flat iron steaks tonight. Intentionally left the thick end a little rare so they'd heat up better as leftovers. Going to make some kickass sandwiches through the week.

Frozen fries? Where do you shop? Demon Penz used to take crap about shopping at Aldi, I thought that until I tried it.

I find their season fries and onion rings to be better than the national brands, bag salad just as good.

I bought a bag of chicken breast yesterday, was dispoint until I put them on the grill. Breast were small and very fatty, turned out better than the great big dried out breast I get from Hy-Vee. The breast were more like you would find in chicken fried rice, very moist and flavorful.

I like Ore-Ida crinkle cut fries. I bake them in the oven. Healthier that way.

Stigma, my wife is out of work, even if she wasn't, I would save a buck and still shop at Aldi, I see all walks of life there. Christ, some people think your shopping at a food pantry and it's beneath them. Some of the food is processed crap, some of the food is better than what you would normally buy at the large chain. I'm not too proud to say so.

Heck if I was Warren Buffet I'd still go there. I really really am fond of the breakfast pork sausage in the 1 lbs chub. I get coffee there to. Some of the things off hand I dont like BBQ potato chips way to salty. The cheese curls crunchy and puffed suck. The Velveeta type cheese blows. Most the other stuff is had to beat.

I find Aldi to be completely hit or miss. For example, the beef stew tastes like shit, but the canned asparagus is usually as good as any national brand.
