I am partial to Season 1. Season 2 had some good moments and while I didn't hate Season 3, I thought it was nowhere as good. I still love the goofy show but came away disappointed at the end of Season 3.

Season 3 > Season 1 > Season 2. Going to be interesting to see what they do if there's a season four. |

saw End of Watch yesterday. Aside from a clumsy tacked on end scene, it was very good.

Apocalypse of the Dead was alright. Zombie movie lovers will enjoy it.
I really wanted to enjoy Resident Evil Retribution but I couldn't. All of these movies have turned into a big cluster****. And it seems each newer movie I think I am going to see Milla Jovovich naked and I never ****ing do! |

Watched Timecrimes. Okay movie. I don't know why I like watching time travel movies even though the inevitable plot holes frustrate the shit out of me.
This movie actually wasn't that bad as far as plot holes and paradoxes. The only frustration was how dumb they made the lead actor in order to advance the story.

"Dredd" was a lot better than I expected. Pretty brutal, ultra violent... but in a fun kinda way.

Caught Lawless on Vudu.
Man, it was really freaking good. Really good. I gained a shitload of respect for Shia Ledouche. He did a nice job. And man. Tom Hardy. He is a ****ing god. Between TDKR, Lawless, and this gay ass movie that my wife made me watch, he's ****ing good. Movie was well done. It was hard for me to understand a lot of the dialog. I think a lot of it was Vudu feed, but man, that movie was good. The only thing that irritated me, because I'm a dumbass was
Spoiler!
Really great movie. Watch it. Today. |

I'm watching this one now. Looking on the reviews and several military people commented that it is the closest military type movie to reality they've ever seen.

The wife and I have been on a movie kick recently. We saw Lincoln last week and it was fine. I think it's a little hard to make a movie out of passing a constitutional amendment, so they did a good job of that. It's a nice solid B.
We saw This Is 40 tonight. Give me my money back. It was pretty mediocre aside from about two minutes of gratuitous nudity.

Yeah, Dredd was my personal suprise movie of the year. Didn't expect it to be as fun of a ride as it was. Karl Urban was a much better Dredd than Stallone was (although Sly maybe could have pulled it off just fine back in the day, if they hadn't decided to make a cheeseball movie out of Judge Dredd).

Rented Total Recall. The original was so much better.
