What do you think? Gordon comes off a tad snooty at the beginning and the end of the story. Otherwise, what about his points? I throw it out for debate.

Gee, that's funny. The last time I checked, Kansas City had a bigger population than St. Louis. Little sister? I think this dick got it backwards.

I'm thinking he's still a little p!ssed about that whupping the Chiefs laid on the Rams last year.

I also think that St. Louis SUCKS.

I'd deeply love to kick this guy's a$$ up between his shoulders. Ah, in a perfect world....

What a dick! That is the worst piece of crap garbage article I have ever seen.

"We don't mind helping out our neighbors in the prairies of East Kansas."

Yep, KC is in the middle of no-where, country farm land with no city, just little towns with no electricity. What a jerk.

I'm really sorry that we released the one player capable of upgrading the RAMS defensive line, along with an attitude to match the sportswriter. Chester "the buffet molester" McGlocton.... maybe a conditional #7 and Chet?????

Odd that these helpful folks were so busy crying to the NFL about us talking to Vermiel that they gave him to us for a 2nd and a 3rd round draft pick, even though he was no longer under contract.

I can't wait to see how happy he is when Green starts to get upset that he could be playing for someone else instead of sitting on the bench.

The last laugh will end up on St. Louis, count on it. That franchise/city caught lightning in a bottle, and they don't know how to deal with it. They already started their slide last year, but are too blind to see it. And it will only get worse with Martz as HC. He's just another coordinator who is in over is head as HC. This situation is alot like Switzer in Dallas. It took a couple of seasons to screw everything up, and then it was too late. Martz will be back to coordinating again after a couple more seasons, and history will be rewritten concerning his "genious". This franchise was the '90's equivilant of Cincinnati for a reason, and I have confidence that Martz and Co. will have them right back there where they belong, and all will be well in the NFL again!!

This is the piece that gets me.....
That's why our Rams didn't really mind beloved former coach Dick Vermeil coming out of retirement to coach the Kansas City Chiefs.
HUH?

I had never heard the level of bitching and moaning coming out of one city til DV left them for "the little sister". And now he says "we didn't want him anyway" or words to that effect. Gob****e.

He sure has a lot of gall talking about the little sister when she hung FIFTY FOUR points on his team last season!!! :D

Yeah, as I recall the Rams "didn't mind" so much that they took it to the Commissioner's office crying foul and sobbing like little *******, and all the while begging everyone to ignore the simple fact that they were too inept to write even a most basic contract.

These morons will have a rude awakening one of these mornings when they realize they aren't the Super Bowl champs any more and they're the only ones still placing St. Loser on a pedestal. They don't understand quite yet that they're back to the status of small fish in a big pond, and the sharks are once again circling because they smell your weakness and vulnerability.

I guess when you lose for so long and then finally come up for air for an oh-so-brief moment, you struggle mightily to ignore the reality that the undertow is dragging you right back to the bottom, where you belong...

Delusions of grandeur as demonstrated by the writings of a bag of lukewarm air.

I dont know how the Chiefs and Rams can negotiate..It seems like there is a lot iof animosity in the air over the Vermeil thing. Plus, didn't Vermeil state publicly that Grbac/Green agent was unethical?

I don't know if the animosity is as real between the front offices as it is between the fans. It shouldn't be, since these guys are all businessmen and understand the way it works, but it wouldn't surprise me all the same.

I think that's part of the reason both sides seem to be stepping back, maybe try to calm down a little (Get over the "dick hangover"), as if that will do much...

Kyle, It seems to me Green is a good fit for Vermeil led Chiefs..This thing should get done.

If there was a way to get Green without giving up a #1 it would be your best option, donchya think?
I think it will end up being a swap 1's and maybe a 2nd next year..just a guess.

Pretty much what I'm thinking too, Joe. I don't think St. Louis can legitimately ask for a 1st and 3rd straighforward, simply because Green's not been a franchise player, but at the same time, we will have to ante up something to make the deal worthwhile. I'm fairly certain that we won't give up the #12 outright, so it'll have to be done somehow including a swap, and your idea is probably the best I've heard so far (regrettably ;)).

I think the Rams need the cap space badly, as much as they try to say they don't, and we obviously need a QB. Someone has to give (hopefully both sides...), and I just don't see any way the deal won't be done, because it really will be of benefit to both parties.

I just don't think either franchise wants to admit that yet...

I think Martz is in no hurry to help out Vermeil. Most people in St. Louis give Martz the credit for the SB and DV is perceived as a tottering old fool. If DV is successful in K.C. Martz isn't the genius he is made out to be.

But I think the deal will get done because of the pressure to get that additional first round pick. If Martz could get that additional first rounder from anybody else he would.

ken

oh yeah, that gordon guy is an (insert adjective)

What a fucking numbnut. And of course, their writers aren't man enough to post their e-mail addresses along with their story so people can respond. Here are a few things I'd like to tell him:

1. Kansas City is NOT their "little" sister city. KC is actually bigger. The guy needs to look at a census report.

2. Trent Green is NOT a "proven" QB. 31 years old, 19 starts, 9 wins. That doens't sound like "proven" to me.

3. Do they remember 1985?

4. Do they remember the numbers 54-35?

They need to get a clue in St. Loser.

You'd think St. Louie would figure it out when KC is the only team even talking to them about a deal for Green. If he's such a great QB, wouldn't other teams be looking acquire him as an upgrade?

Oh wait...he's not that great.
