Report: Tom Brady destroyed his phone. Appeal has been denied.
Nope.....he did nothing wrong.
http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/...eld/ar-AAdBouH The NFL is going to reject Tom Brady’s appeal and uphold the four-game suspension he is facing for his alleged role in Deflategate, according to one report. Stephen A. Smith said on ESPN’s “First Take” Tuesday morning that a source told him Roger Goodell will not reduce or overturn Brady’s suspension. Perhaps more shocking, Smith cited a separate source who told him Brady actually destroyed his own personal cell phone rather than just refusing to turn it over. We have known all along that the bigger issue here is Brady’s lack of cooperation during the Ted Wells investigation. The NFL was furious that Brady wouldn’t give up “relevant” text messages and emails that might help clarify his level of involvement — or lack thereof — in Patriots equipment managers allegedly letting air out of game balls. Smith clarified that he was told by one source that the NFL is going stand by its four-game suspension within the next 24-48 hours, whereas the information about Brady destroying his cell phone was just “something I heard.” It was almost as if he was downplaying the information knowing how much of a bombshell the rumor was. Reports in recent weeks have been all over the place regarding Brady’s appeal. There has been some indication that the two sides are working toward a settlement, though reports like this one make that seem unlikely. If the NFL upholds the suspension, no one would be stunned. If someone can prove that Brady destroyed his cell phone, that would be tough for the New England Patriots quarterback to explain. |

Name one reason the NFL would want to actively risk themselves and suspend their most popular player. |

I disagree.
The Wells Report disregarded pertinent statements by Walt Coleman. Several other physicists, not affiliated with the NFL, the Patriots, etc. have said that the balls could have easily become deflated by .02 PSI under the 12.5 requirement due to heat, atmospheric conditions, etc. Whether or not someone was actively trying to deflate the balls to the lower end of the scale cannot and has not been determined. The Wells Report itself, even while ignoring the interview with Coleman, said that it's "More likely than not", which hardly conclusive evidence. |

Stephen A. is the biggest joke when it comes to "reporting". Also, his tweet about who used the N word in a worse context between Riley Cooper and Hulk Hogan is a joke. Is this like who wore it best at the Oscars? For goodness sakes, you have no room to talk Stephen A. You said that women who were victims of domestic abuse should probably stop putting themselves into those situations.

There was no chain of command and absolute procedures weren't put in place. With that in mind, there's no possible way to come to any hard conclusion, which is why "More likely than not" was the conclusion of the Wells Report, which is hardly concrete evidence. |

"More probable than not" was the only threshold that was required, thus the only one that was used That phrase from a legal standpoint in no what suggests uncertainty or that it is some sort of hunch They could of found a photo of Brady deflating balls himself and in the legal documents it still would of stated "more probable than not" |

You said there's just as good a chance that they cheated as there is that they didn't. Nah, like I said, that's a reach. Based on the publicly available evidence, there's a better chance that someone cheated than there is that nobody cheated. Is it conclusive? Well I guess that just depends on your standard for liability. Would I convict criminally on it? No, no I would not. So if by 'conclusive' you're looking for the ol' beyond a reasonable doubt standard, I'd say you're probably right. But I don't suspect that's the standard here (again, not knowing enough about the CBA to be sure). My guess is that a mere preponderance is enough and by that standard, I think there was sufficient evidence to punish the Patriots. It may just be 60/40 in favor of cheating, but I think the evidence would definitely support that and if that's the standard required, than I don't think the NFL railroaded anyone.

And he lied about going straight to the field with the balls and lied about using the urinal in the bathroom.

I find it hard to believe he destroyed his phone. Sounds like it's from the Chris Broussard school of reporting.
Still funny how insanely far people will stretch reality to defend Brady, since the NFL wants to bury the most successful QB of his generation and ruin his legacy. Makes complete sense. |

If anything they protected him by only giving four games. Not near enough.
