Computers Any Chrome gurus? On PC restart Chrome won't initialize

Turned my PC off because;

1. I was going to be out all day
2. AVG Internet Security asked for a PC restart at next opportunity.

Came back, now Chrome refuses to start. I get a white page, and an initialization notice in the lower left corner, then it just exits the program.

I have;

restarted
reinstalled, restarted.
uninstalled then re-reinstalled, restarted again.

Now I've given up and am in Edge. But I have all my comfort settings in Chrome, and there's no reason for it to be boo-fooed. Anyone with a similar experience/solution?

Is Chrome trusted in AVG? Try disabling AVG then start Chrome.

Checked AVG firewall permission, and temp disabled protection to start. Neither mattered.
