In my mind I'm gone to Carolina
Can't you see the sunshine? Can't you just feel the moonshine?

Coin flip between Texas and SC. "Myrtle Beach" sounds better than "Fort Worth" so SC it is.

I like the house in North Dakota the most but couldn't pick it in earnest because it's in North Dakota.
Texas is a nice runner up but I'd go Myrtle Beach. Ocean access is very important to me. |

Not sure what everyone else does when looking at these houses but I immediately jump to the outdoor area/view to start my decision making. I guess that seems important to me.

You would have a genuine chance to be the only black person in the entire state. The Dakota's aren't incredibly diverse.

My rankings:
Kansas - It's smaller than the Texas house but still plenty big, and I like the style a lot better. It's got a good-sized park that's reasonably close and the restaurants are equally inconvenient to the Texas house. This house wins because of the architectural style, and it doesn't have any glaring weaknesses other than a lack of good scenery. California - It's a great location in terms of being in the city, but at the same time it's a very small unit, on the verge of my lower limit of livability, and you don't have any park space nearby. Plus...earthquakes. South Carolina - This house is kind of odd looking in my opinion. It's got nice views from the deck, but it's not convenient to anything other than a mobile home park next door. The climate would be nice, and I'm guessing Myrtle Beach is nice, but ... the house is odd looking. Texas - It's a nice big house in a surprisingly nice setting. It's got recreation/trail space very close, and the restaurants are not convenient, but not infeasible. The house isn't overly distinctive, but it's okay. North Dakota - That house is amazing. Really cool. It's the best house in the heat. But it's not near any parks or restaurants at all, and I bet Fargo is pretty cold in the winter. I don't really want to have to drive everywhere and then keep my car plugged in so the engine block doesn't freeze.
