Sorry, but that just doesn't pass the eye test. At all.

Look at the juicing bitters before and after pics and then look at Griffey.

The guy was just a great, natural player.

He didn't blow up all of a sudden like McGwire, Sosa, Bonds and the rest of them.

One of my very first sports memories was my Dad taking me to a Twins game when we lived in Minnesota and watching Rod Carew.

We then moved to Baltimore and I had the opportunity to experience the 1976 Orioles who, that year, fielded a great team featuring Hall of Famers in Jim Palmer, Reggie Jackson and Brooks Robinson, all coached by the legendary Earl Weaver. They added Eddie Murray in 1977. Great baseball in Baltimore during that time.

Family moved to Kansas City in 1979 and experienced another great baseball dynasty with the Royals led by George Brett.

Never got to see Bonds in person, although I wish I had. Of players I've seen it probably had to be McGwire, Griffey or Randy Johnson. Anyone who saw Pedro Martinez pitch probably should put him in the discussion too. His stretch in the middle of the steroid era is amazing.

Impressed someone mentioned Eric Davis... got to see him toward the end but a couple of his prime years were sick. He almost created the 40/50 club one year. We may never see that again.

McGwire hitting a baseball might be the most impressive thing I've seen an athlete do in person. He was just on another level of pure power.
