Hotel suggestions needed
I'm going to be coming to KC Dec 26 - 29 and am looking for a nice place to stay. My parents live in the Oak Park area so I would like to be within ten minutes or so from there. I have a 3 and 5 year old so a family friendly pool is a must and preferably a lounge type area where people could visit and still allow kids to play. I looked at Great Wolf and their rates were maxed out for that week due to high demand for holidays. Their cheapest was $280 and I hate spending that much for hotel, I would prefer to stay in the $150 or less range.

Your mom is like a hotel...she is the cheapest in town, she'll welcome anyone including her own family, she allows parking in the rear, she'll even allow pets, her pool is a heated hole that runs deep, and her continental bearded clam bar is to die for

The Drury in OP is pretty nice and has a pool. You also get a free breakfast in the morning. I think you can also get access to the Bally's next door for a few bucks a day. It's also pet friendly, which is a bonus for us since we have to drag our dog along from time to time.

Edit: Forgot to add that they have a happy hour with complimentary cocktails in the evening.
