Your new home for first-round busts.....maybe we can trade Sims there.

Actually I like it when Denver is good. Then we get to beat them and say we beat a good team.

The contract better be mostly incentives.

The other move I don't understand is giving Putz the contract he commanded thanks to the Jets and then signing Stephen Alexander with a $1M bonus.

I'm totally unsure of what the plan exactly is at the moment... no idea how to break down these signings.
Now all you guys need is Tim Couch and William Green and the transformation into complete garbage will be complete.

I am forgetting the position the guy coached, but the Broncos' new Dline coach (I believe) is formerly from Cleveland. I would hope that a new line coach, coming into a team with a serious need to upgrade the very position he's coaching would use his best judgement here.

So, that being said ... I just can't imagine that he'd seriously be pushing for guys like Warren and Brown if he thought they were complete pieces of shit. I mean, why would he do that?

So, maybe there's something there we don't know...

I'm sad that you asked ... especially after my last reply.

Last year, the Browns were dead last against the run - giving up an average of 144 yards per game, but ... Courtney Brown did miss 14 games, so maybe that's a way I can twist it.

Overall, they were #15 in total defense. Stats are stats though... we can spend all day spinnin' 'em either way.

I thought they had been near the bottom of the league in run defense for a while now. I think Jamal Lewis put up 2 200 yard games in a season against them or something like that.

Good for them. IF he can ever do something, he'll be a good cheap pick up for them. However, the guy has not shown ANYTHING that suggests he'll be effective. When I first heard that he was being cut, I figured that he'd end up in Denver.

hmmm...I think Brown is worth the chance, but getting both is curious, would they be penciled in to start asasuming they're healthy?

I mean, we've got Hicks and Sims, so I can't talk about any smack.

Yeah, I would imagine (if healthy- two big words when talking about Brown) they would both be starters, especially if they part ways with Pryce.

The Warren signing didn't dazzle me and neither does the potential of bringing in Brown... but, all I can do is hope for the best.

Then Pasquerelli was wrong with his initial description of the deal, since he said it was bonus"es". But that is a Bill Williamson article, and anything he's done on the cap this offseason has pretty much been wrong.
