its a different kind of thing than a scratch. Its like permanent on the disk....There is no way to get it off. His disk is completely screwed.

Go rent a copy.....Keep the disk, send yours back. They can write it off as damaged when they find it.

Or buy a new copy from Wal-Mart, swap the discs, and return the scratched disc. Wal-Mart asks no questions. It'll be free (as opposed to whatever the cost of a Redbox rental or whatever is).

Nah i got this handled.

Going to borrow a friends good CD tomorrow night, install it on my xbox HDD, and then give it back to him. I can play the game off the HDD and it just checks my disc for authentication, which works, it just wont load up and play.

I am determined not to have to drop another 60 bucks.

How can you possibly **** up a disc? If I did it it would not be in one piece. This game is not as fun as I thought, but I've been on a Madden kick.

I've been having the same issue with cars going missing. Glad it's not just me losing my mind. Haven't played in almost 20 hours now... busy with things like work, and girlfriend.. I'm having withdrawals.

There ya go. That'll get you going. My advice is go fast through the gate. Don't engage unless necessary. Buy a vest before going in and get that chopper out ASAP.

If youre trying to steal helicopters from the military base, good luck. Youre sitting ducks for the missiles.

I ended up just buying the choppers as Trevor through the internet. I did steal the fighter plane though.

Make sure you use the phone and quick save right outside the base just in case things go south.

I got through the base quite easily on my second try. The helicopter chasing me gave up pretty fast
