The constant negativity is tiresome. Who is ready to join me and move on?

I'm finding this constant negativity tiresome. We have sucked for years. We were an embarrassment. A big ****ing joke. I'm done with the negativity.

I wanted Geno. I think we overpaid for Smith. I'm scratching my head over some of their moves.

Reid and Dorsey obviously have a plan. For crissakes, Reid watched every down of every player for the whole ****ing year before he even met with Clark. I'm going to give them AT LEAST a half a season before I start calling them dumb-asses and screaming for their head.

I don't think I'm accepting mediocrity by choosing to not scream and yell and be totally pissed off by the moves so far. If you think so, you are entitled to you opinion.

I was an early and financial supporter of SOC. Season ticket holder for years. I think anyone would label me a hard core Chiefs fan. Just like most of the posters on this board. We deserve better than we have been given by our team. I will be a Chiefs fan until I become worm food. Lifes too short to go around pissed all the time. I did enough of that the last few years.

I'm going to chose to hope that Reid and Dorseys plan is sound and will result in the return of winning football and our first playoff win since the Montana era. Who's with me?

Alex Smith also after having his best year and barley missing the SB came out the next season and was playing even better. I think alot of people thought he wouldn't be able to keep it up but he did. I think this points the Alex Smith arrow up.

All they had to do was find another veteran to "mentor" him. And it didn't have to be Fitzpatrick or Campbell, they could've looked for an equivalent (to Alex Smith) backup that a team would be willing to part with for a middle round pick. That would not have been a hard sell to this fanbase. At all.
I never said that Smith wouldn't be a Top Ten pick. And I did watch him play live against K-State and the Pinstripe Bowl and was very unimpressed. In early February (when I couldn't sleep), I watched YouTube footage and watched him at the Combine.

I said it then and I'll say it now: There's either something not being shared with the public or Clark Hunt had a mandate when he hired Dorsey and Hunt because I didn't see anything *major* to dislike. He was inconsistent at times but I didn't get all the "hate" and disrespect from the media. If Dorsey and Reid had decided to select Smith, I'd have been on board.

That said, he's not going to be a Chief, so that's that. And since I was never emotionally invested in him, it's much easier for me to deal with it.

The kid has played 10 games in the NFL, and he's already a superior QB.

How about that?

It took Alex Smith 8 years to become half the QB Kaepernick is.

so let me get this straight. Any great qb, would have survived in san francisco from the year alex smith was drafted, until jim harbaugh was hired?

Tell me which ones.

Brady? Brees? Peyton? Aaron Rodgers? Now before you talk about aaron rodgers, let me remind you that he ended up on the IR his FIRST TWO SEASONS, and he wasnt even a damn starter. So please tell me what qb, COULD of survived there?

While I believe that Kaep is a freak because he can just as easily throw a 50 yard TD strike as he can run for a 50 yard TD, she does have a point.

Coaching is why the 49ers lost the Super Bowl, not Kaep or Smith.

They dont want to hear that. I looked at it like this. I thought 2011 was a rebirth for alex smith. He had to be rebuilt, and in 2012 especially his last full game, he was doing things he had NEVER done before.

FOr instance, his first td pass to crabtree, where he threw it to him in the end zone, he NEVER would of attempted that pre harbaugh.

And then on his throw to randy moss, where moss did all the work, moss was his FOURTH READ.....also something he had never done. Now, alex smith has a ceiling, and im sure he is close to it, just because he lacks the natural pure gifts of a kaepernick, and aaron rodgers. But hes good enough to help the chiefs win.

Anyone who took a pay cut, as Alex Smith did when it was evident he was hot garbage.

Maybe it was just the script this year but I think he's about to get a huge hummer from the guys that were dogging him before.

That's not the debate.

The debate is whether Alex Smith would have won the SB.

I doubt it. In fact, I bet the 49ers miss the playoffs with Alex Smith, because he wasn't beating Brady or Brees on the road, and Kaepernick did just that.

If the 49ers lose those games, they miss the playoffs.

Probably so. Who else will ESPN and the NFL Network hype on Thursday night of the draft? Joekel? Fisher?

The Saints sucked ass. You cannot with a straight face say that the 49ers and their running game wouldn't have beat that awful Saints defense.

As for the Patriots, that's pure speculation.

It's also speculation to say Alex Smith would have beaten any of those teams that Kaepernick did.

There was a reason Harbaugh stuck with him, and I have a feeling it had a lot to do with Alex Smith sucking horribly against the Giants.
