Says ****ing who Larry Fitzgerald is worth his payday? You'd pay 100+ million for not even the best WR?

Larry Fitzgerald gets overpaid. If you disagree, you're a dumbass. The point is, what should the Cardinals have done? Give him the money or show him the door? They made the right decision in giving him the money. And we should do the same (on a much smaller scale) with Albert.

This phenomena happens all the time in the NFL. So what's the harm in "overpaying" a LT that you KNOW is going to do his very very important job properly? ESPECIALLY IF YOU CAN SAVE THE #1 OVERALL PICK IN THE PROCESS.

Back spasms are issues. They can flare back up pardon the pun. Especially a 300 plus pound LT. Now Ive said i see both sides and like Albert. Im just on the fence

Because guess what, if you draft a LT at 1.1, he's going to eventually want a huge contract as well. Despite whether he's actually better than the guy he replaced. If you want quality stability at the LT position, it's going to cost you and rightly so. Why is it that people are willing to let Albert walk over a few million a year of Hunt's money, but yet wouldn't think twice about spending draft picks on the same position?

It's OK to pay your priority positions. There's lots of positions where you can fill at discount prices. But at LT, it's not worth the risk. Gambling that some unknown you draft will be sufficient is a huge risk. And at 1.1, it's just not worth it.
You gotta remember the mindset here. People want to draft offensive linemen every year. This all fits the conservative midwestern ethos, draft a "safe" player (whatever the **** that is) and get a bargain wherever you can (a rookie's cheaper than a vet).

Albert has been in his prime for 2 years now. He's probably got 2, maybe 3 more years tops in that stage before he starts to decline, plus he has always had injury problems. He's injured every damn year.

Albert is 1 season away from being 30. Injuries like this don't just heal quickly when you get older, and we saw that last year when he had to miss several games.

And you want to pay this player big money?

Of course not. We expect another team to give us a 2nd and pay him that money.

I prefer the wait and see approach.

I've been a fan for 30 years. I'm used to shit.

If you're sick of it, find a new team.

The Chiefs were a two win team with a 200+ point differential. There wasn't a single player, coach, scout or manager who wasn't overpaid.

Getting rid of one of your top 3 offensive players to save 4 million for a year and having to use the 1st pick in the draft to replace him is idiotic.
