Who is your favorite Chief ever?

Knowing what you know now, do you deviate from history for potential or are you still a purist?

Take it from me, some mod is ****ing with the poll. That being said after 47 years of dedication, Patrick Mahomes is already number one for me.

There has never, ever been a player, let alone a QB that has done what he has already done. Slayed the dragon last Sunday.

Hopefully we get to play Indy soon.

I'm proud to be a Chiefs fan after this poll, not because Alex Smith is leading but because Jovan Belcher has thus far gone vote-less and Porter Ellett - the Chiefs coach with an amazing story and a lot of fortitude - is an option and received one vote. You figure there are enough derelicts on CP for that to be reversed.

Excuse me why does this poll not have Bennie Thompson?

Is everyone here too young to remember the insane special teams guy that ran around the stadium after every tackle on kickoffs and celebrated by pretending to pee on people like a dog?

He was the best. My new #1. Also I think he dedicated the rest of his life trying to find and get revenge on his wife's killer or something.

the reason is, this was a social experiment to see how many people will pick pat.

obviously there are way more deserving chiefs players to be on this list, i was just bored last night

Derrick Thomas... but currently pending.

I was 8 when I became a KC fan BECAUSE of Derrick Thomas. I didn't understand football, but I understood that the guy who kept tacking the QB was RUINING the other team. Mahomes is making me at 37 FEEL like I'm 8.

So... yeah. I believe it's now Patrick Mahomes. He's totally reinvigorated my fandom and vaporized my apathy.

For what he did on the field...in my life...Derrick Thomas or maybe Okoye

One of the old timers - Lenny probably is my favorite. No Ed Podolak in the list I see.

Outside of the Vietnam era (heh) I'd go with Tony Gonzalez.
