which is the best place/way to watch a game?

I was having this debate with my bro about whether it's better to go to a sports bar to watch a game, versus at home with DIRECTV with TiVo in HD.

Since it's the Donks, I was going to head to the regional Chiefs bar and watch with the other fans. Trade gripes if we lose, buy a round if we win.
But then you give up the opportunity to really study the game, rewind if you miss something, or to watch it again. And at the Bar it's hard to hear all the commentary.

So, I thought it would make an interesting thread.

I watch at home more and more. I got Sunday Ticket this year, and unless I go all the way to Venice Beach to the Chiefs bar, there's no KC fans at the bar, so I'm just clapping by myself.

Though for Raider games I like to go to the sports bar, because there are always some dumbass Radier fans there and when we beat them it's fun to watch them kick the door on their way out.

I much prefer watching the games at home. I can eat my own food and drink my own booze (if I'm in the mood) and don't have to worry about driving home. Nothing worse than having a bunch of opposing fans cheering their team and watching you sulk if things go bad.

OTOH, I was at a hotel bar in Chicago the night KC beat Denver on MNF, Montana vs. Elway. That was one of the better football watching experiences of my life.

Being home is fine for me, I don't like to drink while watching the game I'd prefer to actually know what's going on.

I like to go to the bar, so I can see every game. Of course my main focus is the KC game, but I like to watch all the others also. Tomorrow, I'll be at the 810 zone, because they have internet, where we can look up our FFL scores right at the table.

I miss my Chiefs bar back in Carrollton. Good times.

I'll never forget the night I got a jump from a drunk Chiefs fan.

I've enjoyed games at Joe's place, but all-in-all, I like being at home, because I can turn off the TV audio and listen to Mitch and Lenny (unless Lenny's on the rag that day). And if we get behind, I can fucking turn it off and go do something else.

you can spill your beer and piss all over the bathroom at a bar without cleaning it or the puke up

10 am games do suck.

Going to the bar in San Diego to watch a game isnt all that much fun either. I have had Sunday Ticket the last five years, buts its a no go at my new place.

Yeah, being at a sports bar where everybody sees the replay of Trent getting knocked the **** out and not really giving a shit, while me and my Dad are sitting there stunned = not fun.

Back when I lived in springtown, BW3 was across the street. I used to wake up at ten to watch pregame and then meet my friends over there at 11:15. It was great.
