On to the Main Event. Does Fisher get signed on time?
Now we know where Albert's fate lies for the upcoming season dollar wise. Only one more bit of business to take care of by next week.
Joeckel has signed, so we pretty much know what Fisher's deal has to be better than to get the deal done. Let's roll Dorsey. No excuse for not getting it done on time. Last edited by Coogs; 07-15-2013 at 03:18 PM.. |

Because of a self-induced hole. But, whatever. Such is the life of a Chiefs fan.

Highly likely he gets signed
The rookie salary cap was supposed to make rookie contracts a formality The agents are still trying to haggle over portions of guaranteed money, but unless a team tries to lowball a player I dont see any holdouts |

It's already slotted. If there's any haggling, it's over the offset money and quite frankly, the Chiefs will lose out on that deal, unless Dorsey's some sort of Uber Pimp.

Albert Breer just said that if B Albert holds up this year he will get paid next year. Said Reid has a history of investing in both right and left tackle. Breer definently sees a future for B Albert in KC.

Why would you give him a long term deal a year later when he's a year older? He's played in 91% of the team's games in his 5 seasons. What is "holding up" another year prove? He's missed 7 games in 5 years. BFD. |

We're gonna have to get creative to sign Fisher as we only have 3.5 mil in cap space.

The only thing to really argue over is the offset language right? and that hasn't typically been an issue with picks this high. I mean we had our selection of every player and chose him #1. Haggling over offset language in case we cut him kind of sends a mixed message. Joeckel didn't get the offset language so it would be a massive battle if we tried. I can't imagine that's even something they're considering.
