IMHO, no. Eat his number now so there isn't dead money a few years from now when the franchise gets its head out of its ass and actually decides to draft a QB.

I can't believe I typed that with a straight face. KC draft and develop a QB? Maybe if they move to L.A.

In the big picture, since Andy seems to love Smith, they might as well restructure and free up some cash to extend Houston and Hudson and try to bring in a delusional WR.

This is where I am as well. I don't want to be tied to Smith any longer than we already are or creating more cap issues later over his contract.
Now if he wants to renegotiate and take a couple million a year less I am all ears.
