I would have to say Surtain or Bailey, but I will have to wait and see what they do this year. With the abuse that Kennison put on Bailey I would lean to Surtain right now.

To be honest, i haven't seen Surtain in action a lot.

I guess that will be changing now.

Before we got Bailey, i hadn't seen him much either ( Didn't really see to many Skins games).

Providing that Bailey makes some adjustments next season to the new rule interpretations I figure he would be the best. Though like Zach said not by much.

Probably Bailey, I'd say.

Should be a great MNF game at Invesco.

I have Surtain right on Champ's tail (over woodson).

I just give him the edge due to age and durability (never missed a start).

I'm kind of looking at the question as "who would i pick out of the 4 guys if i could have my choice taking into account all variables?".

Thats why QJ isn't so bad to throw on this list with the other 3.

All in all ..... The AFC West has 3 of the best 5 or so CB's in the world right now.

Based on pure athletic ability, I'd say Bailey by the slimmest of margins over Surtain and I'm not real sure if you throw last year into the equation. Last year was not one of Champ's better years as he seemed to get burned by the league's good receivers, not to mention Kennison. I know that every CB gets burned from time to time - even the great ones - but it shouldn't happen as often as it did last year to Bailey. I'm sure some of that had to do with him being in a new environment so my opinion of him hasn't changed as I still believe he's as good as they get.

Surtain has been solid his entire career, course he's been playing on a very good defense for most of it. He's not as fast as Bailey, but he's just as instinctive - maybe evn more so - and he's a leader and is tough as nails and very smart. He reminds me of James Hasty, only faster. We'll see if the change of venue has an effect on his game.

Jammer is up and coming and settled down somewhat last year. Still, his game is not yet in the same class as Champ's (pre Denver) and Surtain's. Jammer has all the tools and could be as good some day.

Woodsen is every bit as good of an athlete as Bailey, but he's injured far too often to count on. Plus, he has issues. I can't remember the last time he's played a full season so he loses points in my book.

Just my take on things.

After last year, Surtain.

Bailey got burned badly in several games last year. Surtain's never had a year like that.

Surtain has 25 interceptions since the 2000 season. That's 3rd best in the NFL. Bailey only has 16.

Our secondary (Surtain, Warfield, Wesley, Knight) has combined for almost 60 interceptions in the last 3 years.

Uh, I think you forgot to factor in Bartee's INTs...

That number should be almost 60 in the last three years.
