My daughter and grandkids that live in Florida flew back last Saturday. First time she's been home since 2007. It's been a good week but they fly home tomorrow. Gonna be a sad day.

It is tough bro. I went through this with my daughter. I was uneasy but I knew I was a phone call and a few minutes away from any problem. When I moved out to the coast I had tears in my eyes driving knowing I would no longer be a few minutes away. She turned 30 this year. I have been on a full court press to get her out here. She was not in the mindset to move here but I think she is going to later this year.

I dropped my son off to go in the Army and it hit me like a truck. Everything I knew was gone. Both kids were grown. Everything in me wanted to tell my son to jump in old Silver and head back home and I would be back when this fight was over. I held my emotions until he was out of site and the tears came no matter how hard I tried to stop them. You can count the times I have had tears in my eyes in my adult life on one hand and not use your thumb. You will always be dad and will always be the one she looks to when life gets mean. She knows no matter what you will handle the problem one way or another. It is a part of the walk in life and a tough part~
