What I said yesterday was that Bowe's 2013 production would not be hard to match. Reid's offense doesn't require an elite all world #1 receiver. I believe if Hemmingway was forced to be the starter all year that he could match Bowe's 2013 production. I don't think it would be hard to find someone to match that production.

As for Hemmingway starting... I do believe he'll be the starter against Tennessee. His game is in the same mold as Bowe's.

Bro.

Unless you meant that he'd start over Avery, you don't even know wtf you're saying.

It means I think he would start for Bowe against the Titans. It means if he outplays Bowe in that game, he might get to stay there. I never said he would supplant Bowe as the starter. Again, I said I think if he plays really well then they might keep him in there over Bowe. What are you missing?

The one-game suspension of Chiefs receiver Dwayne Bowe could, in hindsight, become the domino that ultimately gives the Browns a replacement for Josh Gordon.

The suspension most likely voids the remaining fully guaranteed money in Bowe’s contract: $8.75 million in 2014 and $1.5 million in 2015. It creates a window for the Chiefs to dump Bowe, avoiding more than $10 million and creating an immediate $8.75 million in 2014 cap space. (The extra cap space now would almost entirely offset the $9 million cap charge they’d take in 2015, due to the post-June 1 move.)

Unless Bowe’s contract specifically was negotiated to remove now-standard language voiding future guarantees in the event of a suspension, the Chiefs could make a move at any point after Bowe’s one-week exile begins, but before the moment that his salary becomes guaranteed as “termination pay,” a benefit for all players with four or more years of service who are on a team’s Week One roster.

If Bowe is cut, he’d become a free agent. And if Browns receiver Josh Gordon is suspended for a full year, Cleveland would have a clear need at receiver.

I'm so tired of this guy having problems. 4 game suspension, couldn't be motivated, had to lose weight, dropped timely passes, couldn't get his feet inbounds, now another 1 game suspension.

Next spring bring in Maclin and draft multiple WR's like the Jags just did.

Seen a couple of these posts. Hitting your wife is definitely worse than smoking a little weed.

It was a weed charge. Pleading down was the only hope. His suspension would have been worse.

The door is wide open for him. Reports said he had a pretty nice camp and is healthy.

How can he be healthy and be on injured reserve?

This suspension is really such a blessing for the team. Cutting him after the season would have originally cost us some cap space, now it will free some up. There is no way not to keep Houston and Smith if they want them now. So many picks to come next year... have to figure it will happen (Bowe's release after season). Unless he does something crazy and plays good.

I thought I just read a report from the coaches saying he was having a good camp? I must be confusing him with someone else? Seems all of our young receivers are tearing it up, so hopefully it will keep going into the season.
