This is the turning point guys

I think this is it. Our Defense just shut down an offense that has been playing good football with the #7 rated offense. Our secondary seems to be getting into sync and we are shutting down the run.

Now as BossChief has said all along Cassel sits game 6 and Quinn is going to give us that spark. What if Quinn pulls an Alex Smith. Zorn has been working with him right. Quinn hasn't started a game since 2009. Just what if he seizes his opportunity!!!! This is our chance for Cassel to land a permanent spot on the bench.

There is NO WAY we should have lost this game. Tha football Gods made Cassel fumble on the Goal line and the Football Gods gave him a concussion.

I think EVERYBODY from Pioli to Winston has got the message. This team just may come out angry and rally around Quinn.

This is the best I've felt about us all year. I've got that feeling we're done ****ing around. Watch out AFCW , here come the Chiefs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Pioli isn't canned, he'll be back here with Romeo.

Clark isn't stupid enough to give him a third chance on HC.

Agreed. I am sure Haley has crucified his ass in the coaching community through back-channels this year - and will continue to....

I think Cassel is done here, barring a reversal of his fortunes this season.

If Pioli is back he'll draft a QB to try and buy himself time.

If Clark signs Pioli to an extension all hell will break loose around here... and season tickets will plummet.

I agree here. Cassel will not have a job after this season, but Clark won't fire Pioli with a year left. He will get his chance to save himself.

I just hope he drafts Geno and not some shithead like Landry Jones.

There's no such thing as a lame duck GM in the NFL. He won't go into next season with a year left on his deal.

After this season, he will either get a contract extension or a pink slip.

I guess I don't see what Pioli has done to warrant the trust necessary to allow him to choose and draft a quarterback ... let alone, hire a coach sufficiently competent to develop him.

I can't think of a single, solitary decision Pioli's made that would give a reasonable person confidence that he could or should be responsible for something like that.

I'll call it right now, Pioli gets an extension before the season's end. I also think he locks up Albert.

+1

If by chance he has it figured out at this point, we still have some good years to get out of him. There's plenty of QBs in the NFL that didn't blossom until later in their careers.

The only way for Pioli to regain his golden touch is to hire an outstanding HC and draft a franchise QB. Hiring a new GM gives that guy another three years to get his staff and team in place. With the right HC and QB, KC has a window. Now is the time for Pioli to step up and perform, not pack his bags.
First of all, by definition, to regain something, you must have possessed it in the first place. Secondly, no "outstanding HC" would have anything to do with Scott Pioli right now. Not a single coach with any other options would touch Pioli with a 10 ft pole right now. Outstanding head coaches have other options. If Pioli stays and Crennel goes, you'd better lower your expectations to guys like Josh McDaniels and Jack Del Rio. Which is exactly why Pioli absolutely has to be fired the split second this season ends. Anything else will be catastrophic, because Pioli is a dickless little fraud, and any coach worth a damn is going to either know that already, or have people who tell him about it.

I don't care if Quinn wins every remaining game - you still draft a QB.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).
