I figured I would start a thread for this and see what happens....there seemed to be quite a few viewers on the board for this show the past few weeks.....I like the direction the show is taking so far......episode 3 tonight at 7 central on ABC....

but it is true what sayid said about every shovel full and where the dude buried his wife. shit like that is branded in your brain forever and sure as shit 2 weeks after.

and yes, you would remember every shovel full out as well as every shovel full back in.

i thought he did kinda get alittle faraway and showed some signals that he isnt going to make it.

At the end of the episode I watched they said "coming soon on Lost" not "next week on Lost".

the next new episode is March 1st. I think next week is the replay of the pilot episode

Dammit, I'm getting tired of this shit. Why in the f*** can they not show us more than three new episodes without two or three week breaks in between. That's the most infuriating thing about this show, IMO.

Henry Gale, Dorothy's uncle from Wizard of Oz. Oz himself who ended up in Oz when his air balloon was caught in a storm.

Henry Gale was also an important physicist in the first half of the 20th century. He worked in the fields of astrophysics and in magnetism. He died 11-16-42.

That wasn't the CO with the picture, it was just some soldier in the back of the truck escourting Sayid. Could be Kate though.

You have these guys inputting numbers every 108 minutes. When there are a limited number [say, just Desmond, or just Desmond and his predecessor] of enterers, that keeps them from having a lot of free time to explore/discover/uncover.
There is no reason to enter the numbers, except for the warning. They're not maintaining anything. They're not protecting anything. They're just following orders.

Zero means zero is a false standard for one of two meanings.

If there really is something bad that is to happen, you'd want to make the missing of the entry window reversible for as long as possible. Things were whirring, noise was being made, something was transpiring. Entering the code stopped it.

If there isn't something bad about to happen [simply an experiment/control measure], you'd want to give the appearance of something bad pending, in the off-chance the subjects test the system and let it go to zero.

Think of it like when Pops threatened to use the belt on you. Sometimes he'd just mention the belt. Sometimes you pushed it, and he'd have to start unbuckling it. If you really pushed it, he'd take it off and crack it a bit. But his aim was to get you back into line.

Don't you think Locke et al are more convinced than ever that the numbers have to be entered?
