Kat is a local here in Austin, and is an artist on the rise. She has a very different voice, jazzy and smooth. You would never look at her and think this sound would come out.

Anywho, I hope you enjoy. She's as wonderful a person as she is a singer.

I was at a bar, watching my friend's band perform, and prior to them going on, we chatted for a bit. "She's nice and cute," I thought. I assumed she was just a random bar fly.

Then she popped up on stage and killed it.

It's amazing how a talent can make someone that much more attractive.

She has that 20's vocal style, reminds me of the singer from Squirrel Nut Zippers but not as overexaggerated as her's.

Okay, so, I just went to her ACL live taping.

Should be on PBS here in a couple weeks.

Guys, she is just so damned good live. Her voice is like buttah, and the emotions pour out of her through her pipes. If you ever get a chance, see her.
