Welcome to the future, courtesy of Honda. Introducing the Honda Reani, what may very well be the most important car released for the 2012 automobile year.

The Reani is a compact sports car, but the revolutionary aspect isn’t the appearance, or any of the other outward features. It’s the fact that the 2012 Honda Reani gets, without the benefit of hybrid technology or even E fuel, to get 90 highway miles per hour.

The secret, according to Promotional director Edward Hughes, is in the small size and efficiency measures of the vehicle. The Honda Reani will begin with a SRP of $23,499 fully loaded and a more basic version priced at $19,895. Both versions come equipped with the usual standards, Sirius radio, OnStar technology, remote starting feature, and self parking)

It was a joke, silly. It is a mistake in the article. It should be miles per gallon.

But, yes, my GTI is fast. I forget what the 0 to 60 is, but I think it's sub-7.

So what new technology does it use? "New fuel economy technology" is pretty vague. I have a hard time believing they came up with a way to magically double a car's fuel efficiency.
