Tombstone has tons of great scenes, but this isnt nearly as good as most.

Hell, the final round may be three Tombstone scenes.

My votes:

#1 - Beetlejuice. This is a heat where my preference for comedies and music scores becomes clear. I admit that this scene is a little cheesy, but I like the song and it's kind of fun. Plus, I'm kind of fascinated by that Japanese woman. She's pretty much the perfect casting choice as an artsy dinner guest.

#2 - The Godfather. This is a very well-designed scene. I acknowledge that it's a great scene for its genre. That said, for an iconic movie there are some instances of bad acting. The dude who gently lies down after being shot in the eye? C'mon. And the guy who does the Chinese acrobat tumble down the stairs after the overwrought shooting? It's really not good.

#3 - Tombstone. It's a fine scene and the last line is good. However, it doesn't dazzle me.

Embarrassing that Beetlejuice is even in the 2nd round. It must have been up against a couple of Tenacious D scenes.

Honestly, I'm shocked that the Godfather scene isn't running away with this, even though I voted for Beetlejuice. The Tombstone love is surprising to me as well. It's not a bad scene by any means; I don't see Will Ferrell in it anywhere. I just don't like it as much as I like the other scenes.

I'm telling you. This is exactly how people are voting. It goes something like this. Clicks on thread..."Oooh! Tombstone! I love that movie. I'll vote for that without watching it or any other scene in the heat."

I honestly think that's how a lot of these heats are working out. Folks click on the thread and vote for their favorite movie of the three, regardless of the scenes.
