Misc Where would you most like to move? (continental U.S. only) - Page 12

So the plan is, in 25 months when Mrs. Z gets her Master's, we are planning to move to Biloxi MS. Biloxi is right on the Gulf- we've vacationed there many times over the last decade, and decided after our last visit that Biloxi is where we want to make our home. We are very excited and can hardly wait for it to happen.

Which got me thinking- where in the continental US would you most like to live? Be realistic- take into account real factors like cost of living, property values, job prospects, quality of schools, climate, geography, etc.

If I could pick any lake front to live on Lake Champlain would be it for sure.

Nestled between New York's Adirondack Mountains and the Green Mountains of Vermont, Lake Champlain spans 121 miles.

The town itself is fine. It is just everything around Horsetooth Reservoir and W/NW of there. It just sucks right now because of the well above average temps (actually that is Colorado wide), poor air quality due to all the smoke, and the wind. It looks like it might actually rain tonight (at least there are dark clouds in the sky and I swear I heard thunder), but knowing our luck this summer it will be a false alarm. Oh and this is an amazing town and the best kept secret in Colorado although more and more are catching on to it.

Most of you ppl clearly do not care about shitty weather. Yes, even Florida and Texas has shitty weather IMO.

1 hour to the mountains
3 hours to the beach (depending on which one you want to go to)
7 hours to WDW

Plus golf all year round.

One thing that has become clear to me in this thread is that more of you need to come and visit Colorado.

Yet you listed San Fran which is often chilly (50s-60s), foggy/overcast, and misty.

I love SF but there are many places with much better better weather.
