Where would you most like to move? (continental U.S. only)

So the plan is, in 25 months when Mrs. Z gets her Master's, we are planning to move to Biloxi MS. Biloxi is right on the Gulf- we've vacationed there many times over the last decade, and decided after our last visit that Biloxi is where we want to make our home. We are very excited and can hardly wait for it to happen.

Which got me thinking- where in the continental US would you most like to live? Be realistic- take into account real factors like cost of living, property values, job prospects, quality of schools, climate, geography, etc.

Include a pic of your desired location if you like:

Somewhere where it never gets above 80 degrees, and there are not a lot of people, but there are still Wal Marts and great restaurants.

I don't think such a place exists.

Count me in for San Diego. The weather is absolutely perfect. Access to the water is important for me. The proximity to the mountains and the desert is a perk.

Other than that, I'd love to live in LA, San Fran, Portland, Oregon, or NYC.

I didn't spend much time outside of Colorado Springs. I'm sure there are better places, but I'm just basing it off places that I've actually been. I definitely want to do some more exploring in Colorado in the future.

I like that it's not on the beach, but it's close enough to drive to one to spend the day. It's not too big and not too small. I also think it's probably a little less touristy, and more like a college town (I live in a college town).

Hawaii and Alaska are the two states that have never had a temperature recorded in the 100s.

Not real sure where but I want about 50-60 acres where I can bow hunt and have my own shooting range for my guns and maybe a large pond that I can fish.

Well I've lived in Orlando for my entire adult life so its really all I know. I like it here but wouldn't mind moving somewhere closer to the ocean. Not to mention Floridas job market and school systems are pretty much bottom of the barrel. I'd consider moving somewhere else.

I've always wanted to live in NYC. A nice flat in the middle of Manhattan would be my dream but the cost is so far out of my range its not even an option.

I spent a few years living with my dad in Virginia, both northern and central. The weather was moderate, I liked the people and the job market/ school systems seemed to be top-notch. I'd move back there if necessary.

Other than that I've always thought about southern California. I was born on the Fort Ord military base and moved when I was 1. Never got to experience it but my mom and dad said they loved it. The main problem for me would be the time change. I've been an East coaster for as long as I can remember. That's kind of a deal breaker. In addition to the fact that I might as well be on another continent, I'd never see my family.

All things said and done, realistically speaking my most desired place would probably be the Tampa metro area. Clearwater/ St Pete. Whatevskis. I just need to be near a big city. I can't stand the small town life.

If you come out to Denver, I may have a receptionist position opening up. But you'll have to act fast.

The time change is a deal breaker? For what reason? It takes about three hours to get used to a time change, and you don't even have to buy a new watch as long as you kept the little instruction book.

Uggghhhh, I used to live on the East Coast and I hated that time zone. I could never live in that time zone again. I do love the Mountain Time Zone.
