NWO has a run first offense, then played/expected pass vs me on defense. I had to adjust my offense mid game and start running the ball, which I can do, I just don't prefer it.

If you can run the ball well and not get away from it, you can beat me. It happens. I didn't even intercept NWO today.

I’ve tried to gameplan in depth on Madden a time or two and honestly I think it hurts more than it helps. It’s just not realistic enough to try and do that. It’s not like you can have direct conversation with the players and talk through things, the what’s/why’s/how’s of each play.

I agree.

I did it against Clay last game (ran maybe 4 or 5 plays or so) and I didn't play very well on offense.

Previous two times I played against him I didn't really gameplan and played pretty well.

More importantly, I think if you gameplan it takes away from the fun. I wanted to play you guys because Madden is fun. It's not fun when you take it so seriously you're gameplanning for a ****ing video game.

Scripting plays doesn't work in Madden. But knowing your opponent does. When the pros play eachother they've spent many many hours "scouting" eachother before a game. Big difference between scouting and scripting.
