***Ask Lonewolf Ed Anything Thread***
Lonewolf Ed was given some bad news recently. While he is going to be busy kicking some butt, I thought this would be a good chance for us to get to know more about our friend.
We are mostly an anonymous group of strangers, for the most part, but sometimes its nice to humanize this place and get some value out of these relationships. So ask away! Let's get to know his views on life, his funny stories, his firsts, his favorites... there are no rules, except for the ones he makes. Here's to Ed! |

Lonewolf Ed asks something... Last night, I was snoozing beautifully about 2 am when a commotion woke me up. I have two glue board traps on the floor to catch spiders and bugs, but a large mouse got caught on it and was flopping about trying to get free. Was it wrong of me to take my wooden boken and whack it in the cranium?

Who was your favorite teacher at Oregon Trail? My god...was a guy named Mr. Nicholson teaching there? That old goat was teaching history when I was there. Wouldn't be surprised at all if he was teaching there when you were there.

Ed did you have symptoms like fatigue, bone and joint aches that you put off to aging?

Yes, but not cancer related. I was taking glucosamine and chondroitin for my left knee and it helped a lot. Also, I have a few snaps and pops in my shoulders from my days as an assistant martial arts instructor. Nothing out of the ordinary happened to me before the passing of blood and intestinal pains.

I feel pretty good overall. I get tired and take a nap, but I love naps. My appetite is normal if not above. I never got any of the nasty side effects from the chemo, but some odd minor effects like a brief sensitivity to cold, for two days any sort of nuts I ate gave me the hiccups, and most foods I eat, bananas in particular, make my mouth react like I ate a super sharp cheddar. The saliva glands in the back tweak on me, but the foods taste totally normal. I have to wait two more days before I can safely lift over 5 lbs. due to the incision where my port is has to heal up. That severely limits what I can do. I can't even go out and water my cedar sapling transplants, since I do that with two gallon jugs of water, and a gallon of water is around 8 lbs.

Oh, almost forgot... no matter what I eat, I just can't get a Minsky's pepperoni pizza with extra cheese off my mind. They told me I will lose more weight on chemo week, so I hope to gain 3 or 4 lbs. and show them a little something about Lonewolf Ed. I need to gain 3 or 4 lbs. anyway, since my 34 waist shorts are starting to get baggy on me. I have gone from 214 lbs. back around Christmas to about 184 lbs.

Dear Lonewolf Ed,
I was sitting here today re-burning my music collection into FLAC files and I got to my Elvis master tapes remasters and thought about my former secretary from my past life. She loved Elvis. Even to the point of calling me up after she left our company wondering if I would burn her a copy of my Elvis B-sides and studios recordings and bring it over to her. However, my wife at the time was with child and I was attempting to be a decent, just husband, thus I didn't take her over the disc. Truth be told, she was one of very few women I encountered during my marriage who truly tested my limits of my self imposed dedication to monogamy. (Great rack on a petite, tight body, very attractive and a fabulous personality. Not much in the way of secretarial duties, but I really didn't hire her for such things.) Anyway, do you think I should make an attempt to contact this individual and see that she finally receives that special Elvis CD she wanted so many years ago? The thing is, I've started to work out again and my testosterone production is elevated and I'm thinking that I might give a woman my seed. The real problem is, I work so much tha...wtf??!@? Why isn't this shit hole of a CD burner not getting the right goddamn tracks?! How about answering that Ed? Why is this shitty, ass munch of a burner screwing with me? Oh, and I've been at this since this morning and can't see straight. Should I go to bed now? Thanks in advance and I look forward to your response(s)! Sincerely, Sac |
