39-35 with the Vikes
3 playoff appearances. I'm surprised he's never gotten another shot

What has he done in KC to cause people to consider him for a head coach job? Reid gets credit for all the play calling. Before this season he was spread formation analyst, whatever the hell that is. It's not like he's calling plays for a top 5 offense. Why would anyone think that he is a hot commodity?

Worked magic at various times with Charles, Ware, West, Kelce and Maclin. All with a constant rotating o line

Andy heck can hit the door. Our o-line has a hard time opening up holes and our pass protection can only hold for 2.5 seconds or be sacked or rushed out the pocket.

Who knows how much of that is Childress though? He is co offensive coordinator with Nagy and Reid calls the plays. Who's to say that Nagy hasn't been responsible for that or Reid? It may well be Childress. I honestly don't know who gets credit for what with the way things are setup at KC. So don't take me as being argumentative. I am asking. Do you know who does what? I assume that you must have some knowledge or you wouldn't be stating at as fact.

All I will say is that I really appreciatethe staff that Reid assembled when taking the KC job. First, his staff is not getting poached. Second, even when someone does leave we have a replacement on staff ready to move up. If Childress leaves, we still have Nagy.
Shit, Haley couldn't find one OC, Andy has like a half dozen running around. |

What owner and GM is going to be happy hiring a 60 year old coach that couldn't do anything without an ancient Brett Favre?
He's 40-37 overall with his last season in Minnesota ending at 3-10 before he was fired. The Chiefs offense hasn't been exactly lighting the world on fire so it's hard to imagine any owner saying "Wow, we need Brad Childress! He's the solution!". |
