Got him for 4 earned runs last time which is the most in a game this year. For perspective he has given up just 18 earned total in 14 starts.

Would love to seem him hit again but if not oh well. I'm happy with winning the series after getting swept by the Rangers and hearing about it from my friends around here.

I absolutely LOVED that moment in 2003. LOVED IT. I went to college at a private school called Loras College in NE Iowa...in Dubuque. Right on the tri-state border of Iowa, Illinois and Wisconson. The overwhelming majority of Dubuquians are Cubs fans. There were a TON of Chica-burbians who went there. Therefore, I was in the minority, being a Cards fan...I was not used to that, for in the area where I'm from (Southeast Iowa) I'd say it's 70-30 in favor of Cards fans. I watched the entire series with my Cards fan buddies. After the Cubs were eliminated in Game 7, my Cards fan buddy and I lurked out of our dorm and into the parking lot of the two primary dorms and there were hundreds of Cubs fans who met outside and were damn near on the verge of starting a riot. There was a shit-ton of fit throwing. Holy shit, it was magical. Such a happy memory for me. They were huge assholes all year.

That article posted on ESPN by a presumed Chicago-homer last yesterday oissed me off. Typical Cub fan.

This exact date last year we were 21 games over .500 and the Cubs were 7. The years we have won the W/S we got hot (and usually healthy) at the right time. Would be sweet to return the favor to them this year, win the w/c play in game and then oust them. If not, here's hoping they remind us all of the 2001 Mariners epic post season failure.

First sweep at Wrigley since 1988. The Cubs are the real deal. They didn't give the games away. The Cards were just the better team for at least those 3 days.
