The MIA Heat Show Thread

LA will be dethroned. The LAC Lake Show will be dead. So it's time to create a thread to follow the new dynasty.

Going on tour starting this October.

Boozer didn't screw them over. The Cavs could have matched the Utah offer.

To say that ownership wasn't trying to surround LeBron with better talent is incorrect. Look at the starting 5 from Lebron's first game and the starters for his final season (hell even look at the bench) in Cleveland and tell me the franchise didn't surround him with better talent. Who knows what the team would have been if Boozer didn't screw them over, we didn't even get compensation for his services. Did the franchise do all they could? Probably not, but they don't have the traditional of a Boston or the appeal of LA or Miami.

How many contracts did Lebron sign with the Cavs? Two? If he didn't want to win in Cleveland, he would not have re-upped.

They drafted Jason Kapono in 2003, Luke Jackson in 2004, Daniel Gibson, Shannon Brown and Ejike Ugboaja in 2006. Yeah, Ejike Ugboaja. JJ Hickson in 2008, Danny Green and Christian Eyenga in 2009.

Here are links to their rosters by years. Its a joke.

2002-2003
2003-2004
2004-2005
2005-2006
2006-2007
2007-2008
2008-2009
2009-2010

Looking at the drafts and the rosters, its clear that the Cavs organization was just fine with riding Lebron to the bank instead of the the Finals. And Lebron actually managed to get their sorry asses to the Finals once.

The fans should be upset that the Cavs pissed away their time with Lebron. Lebron was there for 7 years and the best player they put on the court with him was a washed up Shaq.

You could argue this either way. The Cavs front office was stupid for letting him out of his contract, but they wanted to give him a slight pay bump but not match what the Jazz offered. What Boozer did was shitty, what Cleveland ownership did was idiot.

The fans should be upset with the front office for many reasons. Primarily for letting LeBron and his friends hold this franchise hostage for the last several years. Anyways, did they do all they could to surround LeBron with top notch talent, probably not, but you can't deny that the roster wasn't better in his last year than his first. Also, you can't discount the fact that Cleveland is not a premier FA destination. Concerning the draft, picking at the end of round one it's difficult to find top notch talent, not every team is as good at it as the Blazers, Thunder and Spurs. The only year they did a poor job was 2004, they passed on Al Jefferson, Josh Smith and Jameer Nelson. Of course, I'm really just looking at the 1st round of these drafts. BTW, Shaq was probably the 5th or 6th best player on the team last year.

Wearing a jersey to a baseball game now makes you a douchebag. Thank you, I will take note.

Jordan never passed the ball and didn't/couldn't rebound. He's Dominique Wilkins if he's not coached by Phil Jackson.

I think it's funny that people say LeBron doesn't make his team better when he averages 30/8/8 while shooting over 50%. It's fucking asinine.

The team was better record wise because of him, but much like Lebron I didnt see any player develop and improve while with him.
