Mid rounder? Why not? He might gel. But if not, who cares?

For me ... if it were the team I followed, the trade of a R3-5 pick for Gardner would do nothing for me.
Gardner is just a guy... maybe a solid #2 depending on the team, but nothing more than that, IMO.

I'd do it. He's playing in a system that's terrible on receivers.
Low contract, no signing bonus. Why not? We waste our mid-round picks anyway so we might as well get some NFL experienced talent with them this year.

Unfortunately, wutamess destroyed his trade value when his dispute with phobia went public in the media on the other thread.

The only bad thing is that I assume he only has one year left on his contract. He probably wouldn't renegotiate prior to the trade so you are running the risk he bolts in free agency after 2005.
I'd give a 5th rounder for 1 year of performance.

He would be worth a mid-rounder sure, but not for this team. Hes ok, but basically a SlyMo/Morton type, big but no breakaway speed. Dont expect a savior. IMO we should focus more on developing Parker/Horn/Smith and maybe drafting another young kid.

I think he's faster than people give him credit for. Coming out of college I'm pretty sure he was faster than Chad Johnson.
