Clark also has a measured, deliberate way of speaking, sometimes monotone. He isn't some charismatic alpha-dog. But having heard him interviewed I never once thought he seemed unintelligent. In fact I think he has a matter-of-fact directness that, because of his subtle demeanor, flies under the radar a lot of the time.

A lot of times that can be mistaken for a lack of intelligence.

For the record I have never even heard of this guy before. IDK if he is new at the Post or something. Someone said he used to write for the Star.
