Gregg Williams as our next HC??

Think Carl would hire him? Does he deserve a 2nd chance after his failure in Buffalo?? Doesnt he have local ties to the KC area? His Redskins D is outstanding.

You've got to be joking. Martz?

I want Williams, and I want him to bring in his own coaches. I'm guessing that is what he'd do, and none of them would be Gunther or Martz.

You know, living in St. Louis, I've had a good laugh for years watching Martz as HC, but when he moved from Trent to Kurt to Bulger, then comes up with Fitzpatrick [not him coaching, but it was his pickup], there has to be something there when it comes to finding and developing QBs.

Martz takes alot of heat, but hes not that bad. Hes does know how to build an offense and develop QB's thats a given. I think he'd be like a Dick Vermeil lite though. Most of his teams had no defense except that 2001 team with Love Smith.

He spells his name Gregg. No thanks. What kind of a reerun spells his name with two g's?

My name is Greg. Spelled the right way. This asshole has an extra G in his name for no good reason. Think of how much extra ink he has to use everytime he writes that extra g when he signs his name. Over the years, a couple pens' worth of ink would be used in just writing that damn extra G. It's pointless.

Yeah, and he needs to keep finding and developing them because he protects his QB's like Magic Johnson protected his weiner in the late 1980's.

Pugac or Dean along with Guinta were never on a staff with Gun before.

DV ****ed up with 2 DL coaches IMO. It works with Solari and Eatman as his understudy. Hairston and Karmelowicz had always been the sole DL coach in the past. Seems Joe Vitt was right when he said to hell with coaching with Gun. Gun likes to throw the blame around but not at himself. It was embarassing with him and Pugac on the sidelines last week, even not knowing the whole story. He didn't seem to mind throwing Kurt Schot under a bus either even though he deserved it. Point is that Gun is a control freak and tries to do Everything himself. That was his biggest failure as HC. That and lack of communication. His communication skills are very piss poor. A media disaster in KC it sure was. That's not a knock on him, I just understand it alot because I am the same way. Get a too little over emotional at times and the only way to communicate is to scream yell and throw shit. People get sick of that quick. He has done a great job with Kawika though. Just like he did with Bullock in tennessee.

Even if he wanted his own assistants it might be harder than some of us realize for him to get who he wants or even if they would want to coach with him.

Which is really all of CP's fault in the first place. DV wants to run the whole damn show. They barely listen to the scouting department when it comes to players available. (with the exception of this past offseason) And definatley have a problem during the season as only players who were in camp come back for the practice squad or the active roster.
Yet CP lets it slide. I hope not any more. I am so sick of this shit at this time of year, year after year.

Did Williams and Gunther overlap at all at Tennessee? If there was any way Williams would keep Gunther, I wouldn't want Williams.

Gunther has 2-year contract. I don't know the specifics, but I hope it's up as soon as the clock reads 0:00 against Cincinatti.

I meant at the end.

I mean, really. If he spells it Gregg, why not Greggg? It's pronounced the same way, and it's only an extra letter. How about 10 G's at the end? Twenty? It's all the same!

Kidding how?

As an offensive coordinator, he was very, very good. He's a lousy HC.

If Martz was our OC, there would be weekly threads about how we're wasting Larry Johnson.

Not to mention all the QBs he has killed.

I wouldn't mind having Gregg Williams as head coach, he has had great D's everywhere he's been.

I would want him to bring in his own defensive staff, that means let Gun go. And I'd want him to let AS go (because AS won't stay if we get someone else to head coach) but keep the same offensive system intact. All we need is better WRs, more depth at Oline, and a QBOTF in the draft. If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

I wouldn't mind AS, but I would kind of prefer Gregg Williams to AS.

No matter what, though, I want Dick gone. He doesn't have the energy, win or lose, to get this team on the same page, mentally and physically.

Just my thoughts, I think everything will work out fine.
