I just crushed my head on a metal fixture in a parking garage...
Lost a patch of hair and have a nasty cut (not stitch worthy) ... just washed my hair to try and make sure I cleaned the cut and everything but I feel a little woozy ... any precautions I should take? I don't think I need to go to convenient care or anything but I don't feel like dying today either. It's an elevated scrape, really. No blood but it's about three inches long and bright red ... And I'm missing a nice patch of hair to really further the embarrassment.

They're treating you for a fungal infection. Very surprised by that, because it looks nothing like impetigo. And the distribution is totally off from what you described. Fungal/yeast infections are often in creases and areas that collect sweat (Breast creases, between toes, underneath a pannus if you're fat, armpits, groin).

Having said that, I hope it gets better.
