Dude SHOOTS at someone. Nothing. Meanwhile, Mason Foster lays a perfectly clean hit on Chad Johnson, and gets dinged $20K. (IIRC) That's ****ed up. |

The owners need to replace Goodell with someone that actually has some understanding of the game of football.

Kenny Britt won’t get suspended
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on August 27, 2011, 7:58 PM EDT AP Titans receiver Kenny Britt picked the right offseason to get arrested multiple times. Judy Battista of the New York Times reports that Britt will face no discipline from the NFL following Britt’s meeting with Commissioner Roger Goodell this week. The league seemed to reserve the right to suspend players for their actions during the lockout, but perhaps Goodell just brought Britt and Talib to New York this week to scare them straight. (We doubt he used these guys.) With Britt’s legal issues seemingly in the rearview mirror for now, he will have to focus on getting healthy. He hasn’t suited up in the preseason yet, and that won’t change Saturday night. |

During the offseason players were sent a notice from Mr. GODdell (that is not a typo, I spell that ****er's name like that on purpose) telling them they were not employed by the NFL. So when these infractions were committed they were, according to the NFL, not employed by the NFL. Therefore the players were not obligated to follow the behavior policy. Not that Goddell arbitrarily suspending people is much of a policy.
My point is that I expect any suspension handed down from occurrences this off-season to be thrown out. The players could pursue legal action and likely win. That's why this is happening. |
