I figured I would start a thread for this and see what happens....there seemed to be quite a few viewers on the board for this show the past few weeks.....I like the direction the show is taking so far......episode 3 tonight at 7 central on ABC....

Ok...here are my thoughts on this episode so far....

1. Notice they made sure to state numerous times that Horace was "blowing trees out of the ground." I may be over-analyzing here, but Horace builds a cabin for someone pretty "special" and in his drunken state, he may have gotten a visit from said "special" person telling him to get started on his cabin........the "special" person is Jacob BTW.

2. That cross that Amy took off of Paul's body was an Egyptian ankh. It stands for eternal life.

3. I'd bet money that statue is Anubis, Egyptian god of death/the underworld (has 4 toes on his hind legs). We are getting a LOT of Egyptian references here lately. The heiroglyphs, the statue, the ankh, Hurley's drawings... Can I get a toe count please?

4. Some things are messed up for me. Amy was married to Paul (the guy that the two others shot when Sawyer and crew walked up on them). Then she married Horace. But when they met with Ben's family in Oregon, Horace was married to Olivia. I dunno. I do know that Cuse and Lindelof said that Horace and Olivia are "very important" to the end game.

5. I find the struggle between the "others" and the Dharma Initiative to be pretty interesting. I can't wait til the next ep. so they can start revealing the things that Sawyer, Juliet, etc. have learned since being assimilated into the Dharma way of life.

As always....I'll add stuff as I think about it....

Yeah I like the new show format tonight. First time they have done it like that I think.

Really good freakin' episode.

Not the most action packed at all, but still a ton of shocking stuff.

Great ****in' show man.

Tonights ep actually has me wanting to go back to the beginning and watch them all just to really piece it together. I was planning on doing that after the show wrapped though.

They had better not turn this into sawyer/juliet/jin etc against hurley/jack etc. That teaser was saying something about loyalties etc.

If an episode doesn't have Ben or Locke in it then its a sub par one in my opinion. They are the keys to the story arc so if they are not in the story its a filler to the plot lines and charector development. Just look at what we learned last week? Look at what we learned this week. Big difference.

It looked like Sayid was against Sawyer at least from what I could gather.

On another note, I wonder if they are going to turn the whole Island into that its some "Pharoh's Tomb" and thats how it got its magical qualities....

looked like the dahrma guys wanted sawyer to shoot sayid, sawyer IMO will figure out a way around it, and if sawyer is any example they couldnt shoot sayid anyway.(wasnt that the point with the "other" shooting at sawyer?) and about the pharoh's tomb, maybe that has something to do with the temple that the smoke monster lives under

Good Points.

Also it was interesting to see Charlotte as a child...hopefully she still has a role to play.

I am wondering if Daniel grew up on the Island as well, maybe we'll see the young Daniel at some point. I think that Pierre Chang's son is Miles.
