49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

I never understood it either. The last couple of years he had a Chiefs esque record\team. He wasn't really any better than Romeo this year.

Out only hope is that Smith fails so spectacularly that the front office isn't tantalized to stick with him as long as we did with Cassel.
