In the playoffs, Boldin caught 22 passes for 380 yards receiving (95 yards per game) and four touchdowns. He has led Baltimore in receiving yards in each of the past three seasons since being traded from Arizona.

Boldin, 32, said last month that he would retire if he was cut by the Ravens. Since the Ravens won the Super Bowl, linebacker Ray Lewis and center Matt Birk have retired and Baltimore has released guard Bobbie Williams.
I realize Boldin said he would retire but so did Brett Faaaaaahvre and Randy Moss. Boldin would be 100x the receiver Baldwin is and it would not cost any draft pics.

I love Bowe, but the fact of the matter is that we need true speed to really compliment him and Boldin doesnt have it... this would be a huge waste of time and money.

Over the last two seasons, Alex Smith has only completed 20 passes over 20 yards.

I wouldn't worry about "having a guy that can take the top off a defense" too much.
